以下是Jiaying写的一篇在瑞德彩虹实习的心得体会,内容如下:
Hi, My name is Jiaying and I am a final year Psychology major at Singapore Management University. As an exchange student at CUHK, I came to hear of Rainbow Reading through the Office of Academic Links (OAL). Keen to gain some overseas exposure, I jumped at this opportunity and flew to Wuhan in early June 2010.
Initially, I saw this internship as a chance to experience living and working in China. However, upon looking back, I realize that my experiences have transcended whatever initial expectations I had.
When I first arrived at Rainbow, I expected my job responsibilities to include some administrative work, as is common with most internship programs. However, I was pleasantly surprised that this was not so. Besides teaching, my responsibilities also included something called English Corner. This was by far the highlight of my internship experience. For one to two hours at the end of each day, I would initiate an open discussion with a group of students. This was a great way for me to meet new people as well as to discuss a wide range of ideas.
As an intern, I also had the chance to explore Wuhan city on my days off. Although I was initially intimidated by the traffic in Wuhan, I soon fell in love with this colorful city. The food is great, the people are friendly, and there are lots of scenic areas around the city, such as East Lake.
Looking back, this internship has been a most enriching experience. I have not only gained new skills, but also many great friends.
