When traveling outside, some people prefer to keep connections with their family members and friends, other people do not prefer to do so? Which way do you prefer and why?

I will definitely choose to keep in touch with my family and my friends. Since for one thing it allows to let off steam after a whole day’s traveling to have a little chat with my family and my friends. Just imagine, coming back to hotel from a taxing day and lying in the soft bed with soothing music on and chatting over a cup of tea with one of your close friends. What a joy! I can share something unique I’ve seen or explored with them or inform them of the next day’s plan. They may even give me some advice.

When visiting museums, which way do you prefer, simply admiring the works or taking photographs?

Some people go to museums and just like to take in the experience. While other people like to go to museums and document the whole experience through photographs and what not. For me, I like to put the camera and the phone away. Just enjoy the experience. I have some friends who like to take pictures of everything they do, but then they don’t actually experience that moment because they were just looking at it through their phone or through their camera.

What I like to do instead is just enjoy the moment as much as I can and live in that moment. And it helps me to enjoy the experience better and it also makes my memories of that experience better. And that way I don’t even really need the pictures because I have it in my own memory.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement. Students should be engaged in activities that they are interested in or they are talented in?

Personally, I would say that kids with great talent should receive different education from their peers. The most important reason is that kids have different talents. Some are talented in art appreciation while others might be talented in playing musical instruments like piano and violin. By attending different classes, the teacher can really tap their potential and make the best use of their talent. For instance, the most famous pianist Langlang, who had very bad academic performance in primary school because he didn’t like math and science. However, his father found that he was very talented in playing piano, so he hired private tutors to teach his son how to play piano. Eventually, because of the special education he received from the private tutor, he become a well-established pianist.

Some people like to have their living rooms or bedrooms decorated by photos or paintings, while some people like to keep their walls in those rooms clean and tidy, with no ornamentation. Which way do you think is better?

Personally speaking, I’d like to keep my walls clean and tidy.

For one thing, no ornamentation leads to no distraction. Stepping into my room with a clean wall. Sleeping is sleeping and studying is just studying, no pictures or photos will disturb my attention. If hanging some photos, my imagination or memory will be evoked and I may think about some other things when I am studying.

For another thing, this choice helps me save money. If having the photos or paintings, I may have to change them once every one or two months. Processing photos or buying new paintings may cost me some pocket money. However, just a clean wall, I don’t have to spend money on them.

When giving feedback to students, some teachers would like to talk to their students in person while other teachers would give written comments to students. Which do you prefer and why?

I prefer written comments as teacher feedback instead of oral, in-person feedback. Crucially, if the feedback is written down, I can’t forget comments when I practice, study, or learn a concept later in the day. Usually, I know exactly what a teacher is saying when he or she speaks. But if there are multiple points to remember, it is difficult to recall them all after the meeting is over. For instance, when I get home and finally start doing homework. Furthermore, written feedback provides a record of what the teacher has and has not said to the student. With this record, the student can hold a teacher accountable for what he or she has not said as well as what he or she has said.
