教育是国家富强、民族兴旺的根本。从去年起各地区相继出台政策，认同异地高考，打破高考门户之偏见是非常振奋人心的。这对很多考生而言，离教育公平又靠近了一步。
然而，也有不少声音不无担忧地提出，放开异地高考可能会诱发“高考移民”潮，挤占本就已显稀缺的流入地教育资源，并迫使高考录取指标更加向流入地集中从而造成新的“地域不公”等。
要实现教育公平，不仅需要坚定地放开异地高考，督促各地按照教育部的要求出台可操作的方案，还需要完善现行的高考招生、录取政策，加大高校自主招生力度，通过学业水平考试和综合素质评价，降低高招工作对“一考定终身”的依赖度，使招生、录取机制更加灵活、多元。
从教育公平的角度上看是迈出了机会公平的重要一步。但是，要实现真正的教育公平，除了需要在高考招录体系上下功夫之外，还要注意随迁子女的学籍管理，制定公开透明的异地高考政策。教育公平的目的是为了让每个孩子都能接受公平的教育，成为有用之才。
